Who should I claim ownership of developer platform metrics in my interview?
Claim ownership only of the validated insights, not the raw telemetry. Hiring panels at Google Cloud and Stripe penalize candidates who say they own raw logs; they look for “I own the decision after ops gives me a reliability score”.

What if I’m a senior PM and still need to work with Product Ops?
Even senior PMs must defer to the ops gate. In the Atlassian debrief, the senior candidate’s insistence on raw data caused a 4 no vote despite a strong resume. The judgment is clear: seniority does not override the ops hand‑off.

How do I demonstrate I can bridge the feedback loop without sounding like a data engineer?
Quote the ops reliability score and tie it to RICE confidence. In the Stripe interview, the candidate’s line “Reliability 5 lets me set confidence 9” earned a 4 yes vote and a $175,000 base offer. Use that phrasing; avoid generic “I’ll look at the metrics” talk.
